Walnut Tea Tray
The tray is made of Walnut I harvested in 1998. The wood tiles are made from a large limb section. I cut these and assembled them in book matched sequence. The handle is made of hard Maple. Ten coats of Tung oil finish the wood tile section and it has been hand rubbed to a satin sheen. Four coats finish the rest of the tray. The leather grip has been rubbed and buffed with bee’s wax.
The tea box and saucer are made from the same limb section as the tray. The knob and scoop are made of hard Maple. All of the accessory pieces have been finished with bee’s wax and buffed to a satin finish.
